2018 has come to an end, and with some assistance from my magical Gold Card I won at Reading Cinema, I have seen 53 movies at cinemas this year (from 54 trips, having watched Aquaman twice).

Every year I like to do a top 5 on various topics, and so here is this years. Please note, this is all just personal opinion, and in two years times, I'll probably disagree with some of this. But thats one of the fun aspects of film. Its all so subjective.

Also, please note, this is just based off the 53 movies I saw, I'm not saying that the top film I pick is the best film of 2018. I wouldn't have a clue, because there were a lot of films released in 2018 that I didn't see.

And yes, most of my films are mainstream films, and of course, my number 1 film of the year was the only one I didn't see in a mainstream cinema... But these are the films I go to see, as do most people, and so this is what I'm basing it on.

If you disagree with my choices, that's fine. These are my thoughts and if you don't agree and feel strongly enough to put it in writing, then start your own blog.
