The biggest DC movie of the year becomes the biggest let down of the year, as Warner Bros end the Snyder-verse and ultimately ruin a good thing.

“I waited all year for this film. Whilst it's not a terrible film, what it did to the DCEU is terrible.”

The movie:

I loved the DCEU. No matter how many haters have come at me, I think Man of Steel is one of the best comic book movies ever made. Batman v Superman was a great follow up, expecially the superior Ultimate edition. Suicide Squad was a mess, and frustrating because we had some great characters, but also because you could see the Joker being stripped away from the movie, and instead replaced with Enchantress doing a funky chicken dance. But then Wonder Woman came along and was an epic film that should have been the bringing of fans of the DCEU and non fans of the previous films together.

However, then Warner Bros tried to change the film to suit critics and bloggers who did not deserve to have a say in what the film should have been.

And how did that work out for you WB? The film is a complete failure at the box office. Fans like me, who spent years defending the Snyder films feel completely cheated, and those who loved to attack the DCEU only got more glee as they helped set the film and the universe up for failure.

I won't completely review the film here, as I've already written a 1900 word review. I will revisist this film in the near future, but for now, I just wanted this to be the first 'review' on my new blog.
